Call for Art: SANCTUARY

What does sanctuary mean to you? Is it a physical place, a state of mind, a feeling of safety, or an act of resistance? Is it found in nature, in community, in solitude, or in movement? We invite artists of all disciplines to explore the theme of Sanctuary — a refuge, a home, a sacred space, or a moment of peace amid chaos. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly and personally, reflecting on spaces, experiences, or emotions that provide a sense of shelter, protection, and belonging.

Submission Details

Deadline: May 24th (work must be at the gallery by this date.)

Eligibility: Open to all artists

Mediums Accepted: All mediums are welcome, 2-D work no larger and 16”x 20”. 3-D work no larger than 16”x20”x16”. We’ll do our best to accommodate time-based media, such as video art, sound art, performance art, etc.

Cost: There is no cost to submit your work (small donations to our nonprofit appreciated).

The exhibition will run from June 5th – July 31st

Opening reception will be on June 5th from 6:00 – 9:00pm.

Whether your work evokes a quiet moment of solitude, a place of collective healing, or a vision of a better world, we invite you to share your interpretation of Sanctuary.
